The Gardens
The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens held its grand opening in March 2010. The Gardens sits on 19.71 acres of property on the west side of Westmoreland Boulevard, just south of Port St. Lucie Blvd. The property was acquired through the joint efforts of the City of Port St. Lucie, St. Lucie County and the Florida Trust for Public Lands.
The site boasts a pond with a fountain, paved pathways, beautiful gardens, a special place for weddings, a Pavilion, gift shop and ample parking.
Who We Are
The Gardens are operated by volunteers of The Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens (“Friends of the Gardens”), a non-profit organization that was founded to help support the daily operations of the gardens. Friends of the Gardens will provide an on-site presence to answer questions and give tours. The organization operates the pavilion and gift shop, as well as helping with the daily maintenance of the garden. We hope that you will become involved in the garden and/or become a member of the Friends of the Gardens.
The Gardens are open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 pm, Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm and closed on Monday and Tuesday. General admission is $5 (children 12 and under are admitted for free). Active Military and immediate family are admitted free. The Gardens can host weddings, art shows and other special seasonal events. Small office parties, family gatherings and corporate events will also be hosted at reasonable rates.
Meetings
Friends of the Gardens meet the second Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Botanical Gardens Pavilion. We encourage other nature and outdoor organizations to join the Friends of the Gardens, and utilize the center for the groups’ meetings and educational seminars.
